The photogram was one of the artist's favourite processes. He was attracted not by its aesthetic effects but by its ability to give as faithful an impression as possible of the natural processes. His use of photograms began as early as the 1970s, during his time at art school in Timișoara. The work in the auction dates from 2019, belongs to the last cycle produced by the artist and makes a specific reference to the time when he was studying under Professor Constantin Flondor. One of the exercises undertaken with Flondor involved research into the behavior of soap bubbles and their ability to build structures through tension.
