Oana Cervinschi (b. 1998) is a recent graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, where she is currently working. Among the spaces where her works have been exhibited are the Cluj-Napoca Museum of Art, Galeria Casa Matei, and the French Institute, Cluj-Napoca.
Oana Cervinschi's works can be read as snapshots of everyday reality, rendered through scenes and objects marked by banality in appearance that evoke a sense of intimacy and belonging through their familiarity. Exploring the relationship between man and space - linked to the theme of memory - and the reciprocal influence of the two is essential for the artist. The muted, unsaturated tones dissipated in a subtle haze create an atmosphere charged with nostalgia.
