Miruna Radovici (b. 1995, Bucharest) is a visual artist who investigates the development of a universe as the works stage the core of social evolution: interactions, language, touch, organic appearance, and the disappearance of emotion. She visually transposes them through a multitude of mediums (painting, textiles, photography, and others) that are intended to illustrate circumstances of intimacy, and existential problems, all under the aegis of the private atmosphere of the subjects.
I Wished Upon All The Falling Stars And None Of My Wishes Came True portrays two dogs (the embodiment of moral beings, as Radovici calls them) consuming each other within a landscape of clearly defined shapes and three-dimensional elements. These elements serve as a space for concepts of high ideals, unfulfilled dreams, and frustrations, and are represented by unequal ratios of power, authority, and consumption.
